Our brief history

Alex began his career in commercial airship operations, developing a passion for complex, multinational projects. Inspired by the geospatial industry, Alex acquired a camera system from Nctech, leading to our first client—Sata, a ski resort in Alpe d’Huez, the original home of our French operations. This venture kickstarted Skilled Mapping’s success, culminating in our first three comprehensive service contracts in the United Kingdom. In its first years of operation, Skilled Mapping managed complex geospatial projects globally for multinational companies in the USA, France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, and the UK.

A new chapter with Isabelle as CTO

In 2023, Isabelle Bonnet (now Wrigglesworth) joined Skilled Mapping.

Isabelle brought a wealth of machine learning and robotics experience into the business which led us to build our first in-house mobile mapping system, powered by Nvidia embarked systems. Our initial product is helping us to address climate change and CO2 emissions in homes worldwide. We trained our v1 AI model on our data base - the world’s largest - counting 33 million thermal images of over 1 million dwellings across three different countries.
